The Path Less Traveled Saga Campaign: The Old Forest 2p

I have decided to start a variant on the Saga Campaign. Personally, I felt the strict hero requirements for the majority of the official saga campaign to be more frustrating than fun. My main goal is to balance theme with overall fun for playing each of the quests in the saga all while using as many new cards and archetypes as possible.

2p fellowships will be set up so that one main deck is more strict to the theme of the quest and the other deck is more for support in which it creatively follows theme to some extent but also focuses on trying out new cards and archetypes.

The main deck continues to be the typical, and thematic, trisphere hobbit deck.

For the support deck Folco and Fatty were too scared to follow the hobbits into the woods after sneaking around on all those black riders in a shadow of the past. Rossiel and her silvan friends have left, but recruited Galadriel who brought along some scouts to help out! This support deck allows the opportunity to give the new ALEP custom cards a try. Given that the quest is kind of a slog, I felt using Widfast and Gavin to double the active locations would be fun. It worked really well to make the quest go much more quickly. Just be ready for multiple long trailer attacks as those active locations leave for the victory display!

Overall a fairly easy quest that went from being a slog to much more enjoyable with the Widfast/Gavin combo.

On to Fog on the Barrow Downs! Not sure what I'll try for support on that one. Woodmen? Council of the Wise Deck? Who knows.
