Also known as “Shadows in the Trees”
A Shadow of the Past - 0 tokens The Passage of the Marshes - 0 tokens Shelob’s Lair - 0 tokens.
This deck crushed all 3 quests.
Key cards include treebeard, henamarth riversong, derndingle warrior, and thror’s map.
Playing with the mountain of shadow Frodo, resources are not a problem (also Gaining Strength and Treebeard). It’s easy to have 3 ents in play by the end of the second round. The quicker Treebeard can get into play the better as that makes it easier for Derndingle Warriors to enter. They are All Stars for defending against Nazguls and Shelob followed by healing from Wellinghall Preservers. Card draw is superb with Biblo, Pipen, Frodo’s Intuition, and Entmoot. Faramir reading ents allows all 4 heroes to never have to defend. They primarily quest and are boosted by Friend of Friends, Frodo’s Intuition, and Fellowship of the Ring. Threat is managed by Woodmen’s clearing and Gandalf. Henamarth does his crazy good single players crying. Thror’s map is super powerful in The Passage of the Marshes and Shelob’s Lair. Miner of the Iron Hills helps remove the few condition attachments that exist. The rest of the cards are included for thematic purposes.
I have not tested this deck out yet when playing quests that do not include Frodo. 5 cards will have to be replaced. Probably for extra resources, card draw, and willpower.
