CrankyKong 5
The biggest issue with making the aggressive version of the DĂșnedain work is defense. Specifically, the issue is most encounter decks have shadow cards that make defending engaged enemy attacks every turn dangerous. One clever solution (developed by others) is to use Damrod and Forest Snares. Recently, there has been a glut of cards that seem like they would offer another way to deal with these attacks. Raiment of War turns the Defender of Rammas into a beast of a defender with 3 HP and 5 Defense. Armorer Destrier provides some needed action advantage for Amarthuil and Denethor. If you can get a couple of these out, defense turns into math. Deorwine is useful with a little-setup. He's another viable target for Raimant, and he can also handle shadow effects. With this deck, you'll often want to keep a smaller enemy (often the ones with surge) engaged without a net as you need to defend an attack without dying before using your Destrier to discard a shadow effect (Eldahir can also help with this). Dentethor and Damrod allow you to play any Lore card except the Sarn Ford Sentry every turn.
