Deeping Defender helps patching up two of the usual Trap decks weaknesses, early defense and enemies that engage you at bad timings (due to the Defender's Response that can move them back to the staging area). The rest of the deck centers around the Trap and Ranger traits, with the help of some of the amazing new cards from Children of Eorl.
