Elrond summons all his allies to feed to the balrog. Dig for your infinity stone (Vilya,) pump out allies every turn, and get both Light of the Valinors out. Quest hard, and you should crush the Balrog pretty easily with Path of Need in the last round (you need to use Vilya to play it, use Gildor if it ends up in your hand.) Events are not strictly necessary, you could swap in even more unique and fun allies.
Light of Valinor is unique so you can only have one at a time. Also, do you find CelebrÃan's Stone to be good enough to include when only Vilya can buy it.
