This deck was designed to defeat City of Corsairs true solo. The idea is to use the combined attack power of Tactics Eowyn and Beorn to smash through the Stormcaller immediately. The rest of the deck then picks up the slack of getting you through the rest of the quest, with Spirit Beregond handling defense and threat reduction. There is a strong emphasis on cheap, efficient allies in this deck to make sure you are able to ramp fairly quickly. If you are able to tank long enough, you can potentially get Eowyn set up with Snowmane and Herugrim for some added attack power. I recommend taking a mulligan for Gondorian Shield, as this lets Beregond do his thing and enables Sterner than Steel.

Although this has mainly been played against one quest, I think it certainly could work against a variety of other scenarios, especially those that need a strong start or a burst of attack power at some point. The key is really to tread water in terms of questing during the first one or two rounds, until the rest of your willpower comes online.

Seems like this would be a good deck to play against Into Ithilien. I still have nightmares of that quest to this day.

Honour Guard is so effective in a deck like this. Not only does he help keep the big bear alive longer, but he protects your 1-hit point questing allies from direct damage treacheries and ensures that you can benefit from Beregond's response even after a shadow effect resolves.

Galadriel's Handmaiden has become one of my favorite two-cost allies. I don't see enough use of her. Awesome!

I used to play a lot of games with Beorn and the old versions of Beregond and Eowyn so this might be worth a try.
