I tried keeping it thematic with only characters who could appear in the Fellowship. (MotK) Bilbo Baggins starting as a hero with Messenger of the King gives Gandalf his Wizard Pipe. All we need then is Elrond to get his ring Vilya. Gandalf is showing us what the top card is and can manipulate it with his pipe and Elrond can play it for free.
