In many ways, this is a typical hobbit deck from the black riders set just swapping out tactics Merry for Aragorn. This does start you at a significantly higher threat but it's still low enough that in many scenarios you can stay low enough to use all your 'enemies with engagement cost higher than your threat' effects.
Like a typical hobbit deck, you're looking to get a cloak on Sam, engage and kill an enemy each round (and draw a card for doing so) and generally take a quest at your own pace. The reason we're using tactics Aragorn here is that were looking to get additional triggers on Sam/Pippin and the timing on Aragorns response is very convenient for this. If things are going well, you can quest with sam, then use him to block an enemy, then kill that enemy with aragorn and get another enemy letting you attack with sam as well.
--Frequently you will want to be using Gandalf to lower your threat (unless you have a partner deck who can do that). If you can't keep your threat low enough then the entire deck falls apart. This is not a good deck for scenarios featuring many low (<30) engagement cost enemies.
Because this deck is built entirely with cards I own, it is missing a few cards that are very good in a hobbit deck such as fast hitch and rosie. I've set them in the side board so that you can see my recommendation for them even if I don't run them myself.
--I run a lot of one offs in this deck, this is because there are a number of capabilities for the deck that I consider very nice to have but not essential to the core deck concept. It may be prudent to discard some of these cards in favor of more copies of others that are relevant to the scenario you are trying to play.
