Here's my first attempt at what I imagine will be a standard build for Fastred, in-so-far as he's hanging with Dunhere. Perhaps the Mablung thing will be original, but I see him making 3 dollars a turn.

The key is to get Dunhere loaded up quickly--at least 1 spear and 1 dagger, if you can. Raiment should first go on Fastred, since you want attacks to bounce, and it would be cool to get him to bounce a guy and defend twice with desperate defense, and then Dunhere on a horse swiping 2 from the Staging Area.

The trick, I think we'll find for all Fastred decks, is keeping threat low, but with DD that might help.

The allies are here to help with questing, especially the Rider of Rohan, so work to get one of the side quests done quickly.

Song of Battle is there for resource smoothing if for whatever reason you're struggling to engage enemies.

Let me know what you all think. Thanks.

Cool ideas, I like the idea of using Mablung but I would probably tweak the tactics allies a little as you may find that his resources go unspent. I have been playing Fastred, Dunhere and Eowyn and I find that her resources can build up in the late game.

Also, I would go to 3x Arwen because the +1 defense on Fastred has been invaluable for me. Plus, Desperate Defense won't work on Fastred without Arwen's ability to grant him sentinel, so having three copies of her will make the deck more consistent.

I'm not sure about Rohan Warhorse on Dunhere because it is restricted. Typically I prefer to use Dunhere's restricted slots for 2 weapons. I would swap these for 3x Unexpected Courage.

Lastly I would suggest 3x Ancient Mathom for more draw, probably dropping Rally the West (I don't think that quest is a good choice for this deck - it's effectively 1 Willpower given that Dunhere and Fastred probably won't be questing) and the Songs of Battle.

@Mr Underhill thanks so much for these revisions. Desperate Defense was a misread on my part, so great advice! Agree about the horses as well. I'll keep Rally b/c I never play solo and want the side quests in the VD, specifically for Riders of Rohan.

Again, thanks for the counsel.

My pleasure! I didn't realise it was for multiplayer. In that case Rally the West could definitely be worth keeping.
