This is a support deck with minimal questing. Not recommended for solo play.

Loaded with classic attachments for these characters, and enough generic characters and a couple of not very often used unique attachments, this deck is quite a bit fun to play. I've taken this with my play group against various kinds of quests, and it is really able to hold its own. The idea is that once you get built up well enough, you are able to take the majority of the enemies so that your allies can either quest, handle smaller quantities of enemies, and/or do Hobbit Pipe Smoking shenanigans or other such things.

I've included a few sideboard unique allies and other attachments I like to keep on hand in case I can fit them in the deck or end up really needing them, because they greatly enhance the offensive AND questing capabilities of this deck, and greatly accelerate the purchasing speed of this deck. The key feature of this deck is defending and doing it well. It's not a deck you want to take questing. It can do some very decent attacking. And what's nice is once you engage a second enemy, get The Day's Rising out on Beregond, and have Amarthiul start blowing on the Horn of Gondor as your expendable crewmen die, this is a resource generating machine.

Just a question - you have Foe-hammer in here, but the only Weapon attachment is Spear of the Citadel, which generally goes on defensive characters. Without a weapon on an attacking hero, how do you plan on triggering Foe-hammer?

Other than that, I quite like the thematic choices here.

Typically I have placed my second Spear of the Citadel on Amarthiul as his role is back-up defender in case something goes wrong. That way, when he is attacking, I have a weapon I can use to exhaust for Foe Hammer, because you don't necessarily have to use the weapon in question to kill the enemy, it just has to be attached to the attacking hero. Legolas is a far more consistent card drawing option, but I keep in him my sideboard and only stick him in if no one is running him as a hero.
