bzgaming 66

bzgaming has a newer deck inspired by this one: Gandalf is Not a Threat

This deck is designed to make great use of OHaUH Gandalf. Use the Doomed cards to get set up quickly, then reset your threat with Aragon and get Gandalf into play to start wiping the board.

First Attempt at Passage Through Mirkwood:
4 completed rounds = 40
Total combined Threat = 34
Total damage on Heroes = 5
Cost of dead Heroes = 0
Victory points = 0
TOTAL SCORE = 79

Takeaways:

  • This deck is quite weak early game if there are any strong-ish enemies. Damage can pile up quickly, so maybe throw in some healing.
  • Card draw was actually somewhat excessive. Remove Master of the Forge? Replace with the Wardens of Healing
  • Needs better threat control after Gandalf is out. Elrond's Counsel should help.
  • Sword that was Broken may be unneccesary. Not much Leadership stuff to pay for, and can already muster some pretty good willpower after a minute. Also, along the lines of Leadership resources: Narya + Sword-Thain can get even more.
  • If we're bringing in healing and need help early game, maybe use Gloin instead of Sam to get resources from those undefended attacks?
  • Wizard Pipe is super low priority. Might as well get rid of it.
