This deck stomped Watcher in the Water solo, progression style thanks to the power of. . . scrying! It makes you wonder why this deck isn’t doing the watching in the water. It gets around the tentacles' mechanic and gives you insurance in the early game while you're getting set up. Mulligan for Steward and Song/Minstrel.
Take it slow on stage one until you get some big allies out. Shadow of the Past is there to move Grasping Tentacle to the top once you advance so discarding Gandalf will explore the Doors of Durin. Hopefully you'll win next round, otherwise you'll want to Snare the Watcher.
