Rimogard 283

I have decided to try and build a solo deck with Hirgon. The whole idea of the deck is to quest successfully and to add one of the nine 2-cost tactics allies into play every turn.

I tested the deck (v2.0) against Massing at Osgiliath. I managed to score 88 points, which is an impressive result. After I made some changes to the deck (v3.0) by adding 3x Galadhon archers and 2x Anfalas Herdsman, I managed to take back Osgiliath on Nightmare with 138 points.

Assault on Osgiliath (Nightmare) - 2 W (138, 154); 1 L

There is a lot of threat reduction in the deck to help Hirgon trigger his additional boosting ability: Galadriel's Handmaiden, Elrond's Counsel, Well Warned. And in case the Magic Ring shows up, there will be plenty of opportunities to use it.

I have also added Bilbo to the party. He is quite underused although his passive ability to draw an additional card per turn is very strong. He is squishy so I have also added Prince Imrahil in case I decide to replace Bilbo with him at some point.

For resource generation, Arwen and A Good Harvest should help a lot, along with the Magic Ring if it shows up. The Envoy of Pelargir can be used to put an additional resource on Hirgon just in case a Feint is needed, or on Arwen, depending on the case.

Adding the Magic Ring, the Map of Thror, and the Key of Thror is also a nice thematic touch. The Red Arrow, too.
