In the right fellowship it can be quite the good card, being a 2/2 sentinel defender at 2 cost (or even 1 if you have SpTheoden) can be quite good. Also that 1 Willpower can be quite welcome in a Tactics deck

If there is at least 1 Rohan hero in play, lower the cost to play Guthlaf by 1.
If there is at least 1 Gondor hero in play, Guthlaf gains sentinel.

Reviews
Even when running both a Gondor and Rohan hero, Guthlaf is underwhelming. Sentinel is nice, however 2 defense with 2 hit points just doesn't cut it if stacked up against alternatives like Defender of Rammas or Derndingle Warrior at the same cost point. He is good value for setting up A Very Good Tale at least, however there as well, both Rohan (with Elfhelm) and Gondor (with Citadel Custodian) have better options.
