A tweaked version of my Offbeat Dwarf Deck for the quest Shadow and Flame.
The idea is to take advantage of the 0 Starting Threat this quest gives us. With that in mind, a few tweaks: -Cut Lure of Moria. Half the time there's not enough allies left alive from Banes's constant attacks, so this is a dead card. -Cut Hardy Leadership for the same reason. -Cut Cunning and Secret Paths. Because we start at 0, we can afford a few failed quests and threat increases.
-Add Citadel Plate. If we can get a few of those on Elrond and Self Preservation, he can take Bane's Attack of 6 plus a Shadow card. -Add Protector of Lorien for reason above. -Add Path of Need. If we can get the Deep Pit as the Active Location, we'll want to always sit there and this quest lets us abuse the free actions while eating some threat increases. -Add Ever Onward since we will intentionally fail some quests. -Add Risk Some Light to set-up the encounter deck and abuse the Secrecy keyword. -Add Timely Aid for ally fishing and abuse Secrecy keyword. -Add Lorien's Wealth for card draw to feed Protector of Lorien.
Haven't played this deck yet, so we'll see how it does!
