Across the Ettenmoors - Great win rate

Description

Fun quest that we played many times, and won 90-95% of the time with these two decks. The only way to lose is if you get really bad luck, and even with very bad luck, we still came back to win a few times.

The longer you are able to build up your board state, the easier the game gets. Player 1 uses a mulligan for Warden of Healing, Master of the Forge, and/or Light of Valinor in that order. Master of the Forge is important because Player 1 has a ton of very useful attachments. Warden of Healing is important because you desperately need healing, especially early in this quest. Vilya is great, and there maybe should be 3 of them in the deck instead of 2. Getting Treebeard out early is huge, because between him and Elrond, you can buy many Ents. Once you get a small Ent army, you can be unstoppable.

Risk Some Light is useful in Stage 2, where you have to draw 3 cards.

Player 2 mulligans for Spear of the Mark, and usually tries to get as much damage as possible on enemies in the staging area.

Both players can quest and fight, although if you can get Song of Wisdom and Burning Brand on Beregond, he usually sentinel defends for Player 1.

Ideally, Player 1 gets Vilya and Unexpected Courage, then Elrond can crank out a useful card each round for free, plus either quest or attack. Both players use Gandalf almost exclusively for threat lowering, as your threat will go up due to many doomed cards.
