The Fate of Wilderland - Tactical Response
Denison 633
Description
The Fate of Wilderlands is a definite change of pace and very combat-oriented. While the quest cards don't have quest points, a solid questing group is still warranted just to avoid location lock and threating out.
Theoden is the lynchpin here boosting most of the heroes in the fellowship and allowing max questing of 17 willpower from the heroes right out of the gate. The rest of the cards don't add too much more questing so there were rounds when it was all hands on deck.
There is plenty of readying support, however, so the heroes have plenty of action advantage on top of the king of all readying - Boromir. I rarely use the guy, but he does great work in this quest, even post-errata.
Hirgon is another reason this particular fellowship still quests for a bunch, just to help facilitate deployment of all the allies loaded up in his deck.
Arwen is probably overkill here, but the access to cancellation is really helpful due to nasty treacheries and shadow cards at play.
I had a blast running these decks. I beat the quest a few times and it really didn't matter what enemies surfaced with the quest cards.
Notes are included in both deck descriptions.
