New Player Introduction Decks

Qwaz 410

Description

I am updating these decks as I open my backlog of packs. They currently use no cards beyond The Three Trials (Does use 3 x Core Sets)

They're for taking to a playgroup i've recently started and are intended to be reasonably simple decks for new players to pick up and learn the game.

When building i tried to follow several guidelines aimed at making the decks as welcoming as possible. Wether that be by keeping the difficulty curve low or by taking on the roles of the bigger names from the stories.

1) Simple. No Vilya decks, Gandalf decks...etc

2) Monosphere. You get a card in your hand, your resources will work for it. We can introduce spherematching at a later date.

3) Effective. A full 50 card deck that functions, unlike the 30 card decks in the core set.

4) Tries to use heroes that players would recognise and rememeber from the books/Films.

5) Try to emphersise the strengths of each sphere.

The decks can be used together in a big four player game but will probably end up pairing with a more experienced player with a more complicated deck. For this reason sideboards contain some alternate cards and I'm also bringing along ALL heroes to sub in if required.

Oh wow, thank you! This is almost an excuse to post the most recent versions of the deck but I've only just finished opening the 4th cycle and the changes are minimal. Can't wait to read it!
