My final ( for real this time) adjustments to my Digging with Dain deck. It's a fun dwarf theme deck that uses Dain and digging.
Gimli, Dwarven Sellsword, and Soldier of Erebor all make great targets for warrior sword.
Hopefully cards like Warrior sword can be equipped using the Ring of Thror or the event card Well-Equipped. If not then there is always Narvi's Belt.
This deck is incredibly fun to play and can start off real fast. I usually try and get unexpected courage, steward, Ered Nirasis Prospector or Well-equipped in my starting hand. Well-Equipped is amazing when it hits at the start of the game. It usually will snag something because the deck is heavy on attachments. Even if it doesn't you can still use.... To Me! O my Kinsfolk! to bring out strong allies. Ered Nimrais Prospector is incredible. He can get cards back in your deck and also help you get targets for Erebor Hammersmith and To me! O my KinsfolK!
On turn 1 I was able to use Well-Equipped to get Ancestral Armor on Dain. Then I played the Prospector moving a resource to Bifur from Dain. He revealed a Hidden Cache which let me play steward and then Celebrain's Stone. LOL its not uncommon to have a crazy turn 1 like this. Even if you don't the deck functions just fine. Its never bad to have things in your discard pile. 2 will of the West lets you also cycle through that as well.
Get unexpected Courage and the ring on Dain and use him to block several attacks. With Ancestral Armor he can block just about anything.
Resource generation is a breeze with Thorin, steward of gondor, hidden Cache, Bifur and Zigil Miner.
If you dig something out of the deck you didn't want to don't worry, Ered Nimrais Prospector and To Me! O my Kinsfolk can put it back.
This deck is a lot of fun. I wanted to make a fun dwarf deck that didn't revolve around Dain ( leadership version lol)
I have had some great success playing this deck solo too!

Mar 06, 2021I think it was because Dain would be engaged with several enemies and able to block them all. |
Mar 06, 2021How well did that work out with Ring of Thror and 2 Unexpected Courages for readying? I would think Armored Destrier would help if that is the game, but the deck looks a bit Leadership heavy already. |
Why did you keep the Warrior Swords over the Dwarrowdelf Axes?
