I decided to try my hand at the daily challenge with a hastily thrown together Hobbit/Ent deck. This quest rewards stalling during stage 1 to build up your board state, so careful questing with Henamarth Riversong can really allow you to build up plenty of Ents to easily crush the trolls one at a time. Pippin functionally gives the trolls a 37 engagement cost, allowing for Gaffer Gamgee to mean you should never really need to worry about having to block a single troll or handle more than one enemy on any given round.

Song of Kings + Steward of Gondor is there so that you can recruit Grimbeorn, though that turned out to be almost entirely pointless with how easily the Ents managed to steam roll through everything. Song of Kings isn't super necessary, due to the Oak-wood Grove location, but I had forgotten that it existed prior to playing the quest. Pippin with Resourceful and SoG generated more than enough resources to fill the board with Ents and be able to Gaffer away during Stage 2.

Sadly, Fatty Bolger himself ended up being pretty much worthless. There aren't many (or really any) high threat enemies for him to target with his ability, so he was pretty much just there to satisfy the conditions of the challenge and look good in a troll sack.

Thanks for putting these challenges together! I'm excited to see what else we'll have to cook up.
