This is an update of a deck Speder posted last year on cardgamedb. I've played it as a solo deck against just about every adventure pack. The performance tends to be a bit uneven. When you get that lucky shuffle and get Vilya and Nenya on their owners early on, then it's suddenly bonkers. I usually Mulligan for Vilya, but a starting hand with an Imladris Stargazer or Nenya might be worth keeping even without it. If you get a bad shuffle or a bad Mulligan, just scoop. There's little about this deck that will salvage a bad start. I have also used it in multiplayer. Sideboard in Faramir or Haldir of Lórien or Warden of Healing to plug holes in your fellowship. You've got a lot of cancellation and threat reduction. Enjoy your friend's delight as you Vilya in an Unexpected Courage on his Legolas. Or Vilya in some Northern Tracker's (using Imladris Stargazer to set up) and relax as the that looming location lock dissolves away. It uses Gandalf 2.0 but it doesn't kill the deck to leave him out. Your friends will appreciate that it does not depend on Steward of Gondor to get allies on the table. The sideboard has everything and the kitchen sink because I use variations of this deck for lots of different situations. Beware the Tactics attachments - Vilya is the only way to get them on the table. The downside in multiplayer is the same as in solo - its dependence on a good opening hand. If it's turn 3 and you still don't have Vilya... all you're contributing is one more encounter card. Be aware that even when it's working well, you'll still be "that guy" who is constantly scrying and shuffling and slowing down the game.
