The Thematic Saga continues with The Siege of Gondor

In this series I am trying to use as many thematic cards as possible as I play the Lord of the Rings Saga quests in order, in a modified campaign mode. The modification is that I will not be raising my threat if I swap heroes in-between quests

Aragorn has reached the southern lands of Gondor and must defeat the evil corsairs and then commandeer their black-sailed ships to sail up the Anduin to aid in the war at Minis Tirith.

Joined by Halbarad who brought the Banner of Elendil, Idraen who is a great traveler, a Dunedain named Beravor (up to you if you want to think this is the same person who aided the Rangers at The Crossroads or another Dunedain with the same name), and of course Gimli and Legolas.

The Dunedain are aided by the brave Soldiers of Gondor, Envoys of Pelargir, and many other [Honorable Gondorians]. (/card/10004).

Away to the north Ghân-buri-Ghân is aiding Rohan on their journey to Gondor.

Speed is needed to reach Minis Tirith in time!

For this quest you need to get three ship locations into the victory display. You start the game with one, so the trick is to find the other two as fast as possible. To aid you I have packed this deck with cards that put specific locations into play. Mariner's Compass will swap a non-ship location for a ship. Distant Stars discards a non-ship active location for a ship. Shadow of the Past will place a ship location that is on top of your discard pile on top of the deck (perhaps it was a shadow card). The treachery Black Sails is also a card you could put on top. The Hidden Way finds a location in the top five cards.

Hopefully, with all these tricks you can defeat this quest in 5 or 6 rounds.
