This is part of my "cycle progression" playthrough, where I get access to all of the cards from a cycle at once, in addition to the prior cycles. For the Against the Shadows (AtS) cycle, that includes the core (Core), Shadows of Mirkwood (SoM), Khazad-dum (KD), and The Hobbit (TH).
I went mono- to avoid the nasty treacheries. Théoden was included to help with early . Legolas with Blade of Gondolin x2 is there to provide the bulk of the location clearing progress.
During setup, I took West Gate so that I could use its action to make it the active location prior to questing and add a Ruined Tower. For the starting enemy, I'd pick an Uruk Soldier for low threat and the Legolas and Blade of Gondolin bonus.
Goal is to move fast, take locations, and finish quickly.
