One night I was wondering, "who could I put with Prince Imrahil". All of a sudden Gandalf came to mind, this deck was born, and tears were shed... rrrright... anyways I had this weird thought of maybe trying to run it as a strider deck because a third hero would put me way over threat. Aragorn might be able to help with that, but I really didn't want to start with super heightened threat. Suddenly, Glorfindel burst into my brain, and it seemed like a match made in heaven.
Anyways, the three cards you want to see in the opening hand are Gandalf's Staff, Light of Valinor, and Wizard Pipe. Arguably the latter two are more important than the staff.
Some serious janks can be pulled between Gandalf, his pipe and Imrahil. Put an ally from hand into your deck, using the pipe, for Imrahil to pull and then use Imrahil's ability and boom... you have the ally you accidentally drew into your hand on the field. Except this time you can send said ally back in your deck instead of having to play it from hand like a total loser.
The Stargazer is simply an added bonus, allowing you to selectively choose which card you want out of the top five cards of your deck, and allowing you to view which allies you have access to with Imrahil's ability.
I had way too much fun creating this deck and I'm still toying around with other possible hero's to plug in instead of Glorfindel. I might succeed one night in replacing him... but it is not this night!!!
Side note: This deck is meant to be multiplayer only.

Mar 28, 2017I think it's because "Hero's" was originally possessive, instead of "Heroes." Guess I was reading too much into it! |
Mar 28, 2017To be fair after I posted my last comment I realized what I had done. It's my bad. |
Seems like a cool deck!
Is that the full title of the deck, though? Seems like it's missing a word at the end.
