Prince Imrahil is a pretty good hero. The only problem I have with him is the limit once per round and the lack of the warrior trait. He's a solid attacker, defender, and has some good willpower, meaning his action advantage can take full effect. In the right deck (rohan) he can go completely nuts. With the leadership sphere and all-round stats, he can fill any role and open up Steward of Gondor, making him an excellent glue hero. The main reason he doesn't see much play, is the mere fact that he doesn't do one thing particularly well, so there will usually be better options. Good hero! Get the guy out of the binder and let him pull some weight.

I have enjoyed using them in a Tri Leadership Deck with Gondor ally spam.

With Leadership Boromir +1 resource this guy quests for two, a chump defends and dies, then Prince And leader Boromir attack with 4 each.

Highish threat though, so I depends on getting blockers out quickly.

While not a bad hero at all, Prince Imrahil still somewhat gets outclassed in a modern card pool I find. Lothíriel decks still have uses for him, for thematic and synergistic reasons alike, but outside of that, I find it very tough to include him. His stats are good, but not good enough to make them worth the 11 threat cost without a reliable way to ready him, which triggers on something you often want to prevent from happening.

And while there are archetypes (like Silvans, Rohan or Eagles) who are built around characters leaving play, he usually does not fit very well into those decks since he is not an enabling piece but a "payoff-card", which there are better options for in all those traits. In multiplayer, he can easily be played across from these decks of course, but once those decks get really going, he is often a surplus of requirements.

Prince Imrahil is all in all far from terrible and definitely still playable, outside of some Lothíriel decks however, he has generally been overtaken for the most part by more powerful and focused heroes.
