If you play a secrecy deck that happens to have access to leadership - which is relatively likely considering that the big payoff secrecy card (Timely Aid) is in leadership - I often end up including this ally. It will never tear up any trees but a free ally with a few stat points is nothing to sneeze at, especially since the printed cost of 2 remains, being often useful in playing a very low-effort A Very Good Tale early on.
