Simply, Angbor is a 2 cost for 2 Willpower ally, and he can help attack if you're in Valour. Solid if you ask me.

Nice traits as well. Gondor has enough ally buffs in Leadership alone that you can get solid mileage out of 2 cost for Angbor, even without the Valour effect. Leadership Boromir and Visionary Leadership immediately come to mind, but I'm sure there's more. I've used him as one of a handful of "permanent" allies in a Lothiriel deck to decent results as well. Nothing revolutionary, but solid for sure. As a fun note, compare him to Guard of the Citadel from the core set. — Láthspell 1

The fact that we have already reached the 5th spot on this list speaks volumes to the insane quality of top leadership allies because Angbor the Fearless is ridiculously good. 2 cost for 2 willpower and 2 hit points is always very decent and his ability is pretty special as well. There are tons of situations where your threat level exceeds 40 and in those cases, he turns into an absolute monster for a very low cost. His traits provide further flexibility and usage, being good targets for a host of other effects such as Visionary Leadership, Boromir or Warrior Sword.

Summing all that up, Angbor the Fearless is an ally of almost unparalleled efficiency and will not look out of place in pretty much any leadership deck out there.
