This deck was built to have a smoothed-out Outlands experience, since so much trouble comes from running out of cards and resources. Elrond is a pretty common inclusion with Hirluin, since he can accelerate out the Outlands allies of every color (obviously along with Steward).
Galadriel is an option I haven't seen used in these decks, and she gives some critical threat mitigation and card draw, with the added benefit of making your allies just a bit better. She also make it so I can consistently have cards like Light of Valinor and A Test of Will in my back pocket.
Mirror of Galadriel is a standout engine for finding those dastardly Ethir Swordsmen and Knights of the Swan. Being able to tutor through most of the deck has proven valuable.
Thinking of trying to add the Palantir in for extra card draw and for knowledge of the encounter deck. With 2 nobles in play and Galadriel's threat mitigation, this seems like a reasonable option.
Scenarios beaten (playing on semi-easy (1 extra resource, gold cards in):
Passage Through Mirkwood: 1-0
Journey Along the Anduin: 1-0
Escape from Dol Guldur: No thanks
Conflict at the Carrock: 1-0
