Thinking of trying this out in an upcoming saga campaign. The new Soldier of Gondor helps with the usual ally mustering tricks, and Hauberk of Mail + Arwen gets Beregond to six defense and five health without needing tactics, potentially leaving his restricted slots open for both destriers (or give him a shield from a partner deck).
The ally distribution may need to be adjusted to better utilize Beregond's resources--the Knight of Belfalas from the upcoming adventure packs seems like a strong option, possibly replacing the Ship Captain or, in scenarios where threat is an issue, the Herald, although the captain and the errand riders may be sufficient to keep resources from piling up; more testing is needed.
