Intro
Gollum has been captured successfully by Aragorn and now as Smeagol he aids Frodo in his quest to destroy the One Ring... or at least help him crush some LotR LCG quests.

Basics
This is a Fellowship contract deck: a.k.a. get to 9 unique characters ASAP. The main cards to look for in your opening hand are:

  • Firyal: breaks a ton of quests with her ability alone
  • Legacy of Numenor: gives you an initial boost and you can always go back to your initial 22 threat thanks to the stealthy beardless Aragorn
  • Steward of Gondor: don't know what to say here, it's the good old SoG
  • Any other allies: just a tip, Treebeard is awesome; A Very Good Tale (let's hope it will be)
  • Card draw is always nice: Drinking Song, Daeron's Runes, Heed the Dream
  • Sneak Attack & Gandalf: an evergreen combo
  • The Master cards are awesome, especially for some of the nastier quests, and you can easily afford them since your starting threat is 22.

Sword That Was Broken isn't really necessary but it's thematically appropriate. It can also help you questing in certain situations when you can't find allies for some reason. You can drop it to 2 copies, if you feel like it.

For the sakes of theme, I put the Ring on Frodo (dangerous, but always keeps you on your toes) and SoG on Aragorn.

Well, these are the basics. Go have some fun and let me know how it went! Happy questing! :)
