This deck is made to exploit the fact that every single card in it is free. All the resources you're not spending can give Elladan and Elrohir tons of readying when they need it most. Erestor is the third hero because he has no drawback since we'll literally be playing every single card in our hand every round unless we're saving them as discard fodder for Elven Spear. Song of Travel is the only card that actually costs anything and should be the target of your mulligan.

Erestor's resources will stack up, so Rod of the Steward is included to give him something to do with them.

I had originally formed this as a gimmick deck to break Foundations of Stone. I was entertaining visions of big scary Nameless Things being immediately destroyed when they had 0 hit points since all of the cards in my deck were cost zero. It worked for that purpose, but now I realize it could be a good combat support deck if paired with a strong questing solo deck. That is what the deck has evolved into, and it shall be such until the end of time, with no changes...

(Or until the new Ioreth ally comes out, which will be AWESOME in this deck)

Just remember: the best resource cost is 0. Always.

Really neat deck! I made a similar deck once and played it against Foundations of Stone, which was really fun.

Also, I might be missing something, but how does Erestor get the Gondor trait for Rod of the Steward?

(Sighs) The companion deck included In Service of the Steward. The rod wasn't in the solo deck, but when I made it multiplayer I wanted something to do with Erestor's resources. Thank you for reminding me- I should have left a footnote. If you're playing the deck solo you can put Service of the Steward in and sub out Close Call, or you can take Rod out and put in something else 0-cost. Thanks again for the feedback!
