I've had this deck planned since Saruman was announced. I wanted a way of keeping threat in line with Saruman's restriction on thread reduction; so that meant Galadriel, Beregond, or Frodo. Frodo seemed like the most obvious choice for his sphere and readying ability to help Saruman use his stats. Then my issue was no access to purple resources. When you need purple resources, leadership Denethor is the way to go. The thought is Saruman and Frodo Quest, Denethor attacks, and Saruman attacks after a ready. Now when you are looking at a deck that raises threat and has regular threat mitigation, then Valour Gondor seems like an obvious fit.

The idea behind the deck is. play a bunch of doomed at the beginning to get up to 40 threat, and then start using Frodo's ability regularly to maintain threat as much as possible. With this tactic, you will not need to use Frodo's ability much in the early rounds, because you want your threat to increase. In the same way, Focus on using Saruman's Staff to grab doomed cards before you hit 40 threat, that way you should have a good supply for the rest of the game. Close call should be a priority to help out Denethor in defending and to save Frodo from some sticky situations.

I really like the concept, but am more than happy to see what cards might work better in the deck.

i would use pillars of the kngs, i think the set to 40 is not restricted by saruman, because it is set and not reduce (right?)
