A while back, Seastan posted a challenge to beat a quest with a deck he had built that was specifically designed to beat one quest, while being incapable of beating any others (aside from a lucky draw on Assault on Osgiliath). His deck can be found here and is a pretty fun experiment to try to win with. I strongly recommend giving it a shot if you haven't already.
While playing recently, I had an idea to try to build another deck that stood a fairly good chance of beating one quest, while being woefully unprepared for any other encounter deck in the game. I definitely didn't test this deck out against every quest, but I did manage to get pummeled by a few others I thought it might be able to squeak by with some luck. I would love to be proven wrong if you can think of a quest other than the one I built it for to beat.
