Build upon Elrond and his ability to pay for allies from any sphere, enhanced by Vilya to get into play even the more expensive cards (Beorn, Landroval, Gildor, Faramir). Beravor, Gléowine and Daeron's Runes to help get it all running. Even without the Imladris Stargazer Vilya most of the times work - there is minimum events / unique cards in the deck.
If you own more than 1 core set, I'd definatelly add 1-2 more Unexpected courage(s) and most likely 1 more Test of Will. Substracting most likely Warden of Healing (two should be fine) and Vassal of the Windlord (is in deck mostly for the battle quests).
If playing solo, don't forget to substitute the Rider of the Mark - I mostly use the DĂșnedain Watcher.
The deck works pretty well if given at least some time to get going - even Into the Ithilien plays fine, but The Siege of Cair Andros I found solo unbeatable by this deck.
