I thoroughly enjoy pairing a Noldor willpower-focused deck with a combat-focused deck, but the typical Erestor build I run seemed to be a poor choice for Ash Mountains. A lot of my other willpower decks make use of A Very Good Tale, so in order to have a fighting chance (without Dwarf Pipe shenanigans), I searched for an alternative.

I was suprised to find how powerful of an alternative MOTK Galdor (with Cirdan) is. In combination with Cirdan, Galdor guarantees that you will be drawing two cards a turn. If you can find a Silver Harp, you net all 3 cards...and you do not need to discard them like you would with Erestor. Galdor's response is also not mandatory (unlike Erestor), so once set up for Ash Mountains, simply choose not to trigger him to draw the extra card.

Trigger Lords of the Eldar often. For Ash Mountains, doing a shuffle so that it can end up on the top of the deck...effectively lengthening your deck is excellent.

Most everything else is fairly standard Noldor, with the exception of the inclusion of some outlands allies for a little more quest power. The large amount of allies make it fun for sailing quests as well.

Daeron's Runes were specifically cut for Ash Mountains.

Have you played this against Ash Mountain and won? Solo it with a another?

It has beaten Ash Mountains, but not solo. It was paired with a Radagast Eagles deck to handle combat.
