This deck was created for the June 2020 Solo League challenge run by Dale Stephenson on BGG. The restrictions were at least one Core hero and only cards from 1x Core, Mirkwood, and/or Ring Saga. I know the core and Mirkwood cards well, but all the Ring Saga cards were new to. Also, I've never built a deck intended to run across multiple quests; I always build an entirely new deck, so this was a fun challenge!

Originally, I had Treebeard in for Ori, but starting at 33 threat meant I had no time to prepare. I was going for a dwarf deck anyway, so I substituted Ori and I it coheres better.

To get through the awful Rhosgobel quest (sorry, not a fan of that one as it relies way too much on the Encounter deck shuffle), I had to add some range, so I added Dunedain Cache. I also added the Silverlode archers. Not what I wanted to do, but I really needed range.

It's an OK deck. I really like card draw powers so getting some dwarves out early is fun to trigger Ori's ability. Like any deck with Steward of Gondor, it sure plays easier when it's in play!

I got through the first two quests OK but Dul Goldur is next, and I'm not sure how this will hold up to that one.
