Alduc 596

Alduc has a newer deck inspired by this one: The Saga Begins

I've been playing the LotR LCG since the very start. I've lost count of how many decks I created. But the Bond of Friendship contract makes deckbuilding so new and fresh that I'm giddy with how much fun I can look forward to in the coming months - scratch that, years.

As a fan of the lore I had to start with the classic all-hobbits lineup. Random thoughts after a few games: this deck is an complete blast to play. Starting the game with four heroes is a powerful tool, and it makes it easier to deckbuild according to theme rather than raw power. I'll probably continue experimenting with this deck for a while, switching cars in and out from time to time.

I’ve been running a deck very similar to this in my “thematic” saga play through. Recently I’ve replaced merry with Tom Cotton hero, because merry died actually. But I always assumed Sam had to be the defender, but he works even better as attacker. Even better with a few attacking items on him. Very fun deck

@TruemrfuThanks for the comment! You have just hit on a very important point: Hobbit heroes are very flexible. Load them up with the right tools, and they can handle anything.
