kattattack22 859

kattattack22 has a newer deck inspired by this one: Gandalf's Noble Hunters - Saga Campaign

This is made for Helm's Deep and Road to Isengard in the LOTR Saga campaign. Gandalf received the Noble Hero and Leader of Men boons. Important to note since there some attachments that won't work on Gandalf otherwise.

This is a pretty straightforward 3 hunters deck. Get 2 restricted attachments out on each hero ASAP for the willpower boost. Open the Amory and Campfire Tales to help find more Prioritize giving defensive attachments to Denethor so he can defend easily. Attack boosts on Glorfindl. Gandalf can take anything but willpower boosting is better as he is the main quester.

One trick is to play Armored Destrier and Silver Circlet using Gandalf's ability to attach them to him if needed. Then he has the appropriate resource icon.

Heir of Mardil is meant for Gandalf as it will let him ready after questing thanks to Leader of Men.

Minor changes from 1.0

Added

  • 1 Winfola
  • 2 We Are Not Idle

Removed

  • 1 Heir of Mardil
  • 1 Light of Valinor
  • 1 Shadowfax

Winfola is a restricted attachment option for Glorfindl that I overlooked in my initial list.

I reduced the unique non-restrcited attachments each by 1. My thinking is that I don't want them in my opening hand because I want to flip the contract ASAP for the willpower boost and healing. It's better to see them after turn 2 so 1 less of each fits better with that plan.

We Are Not Idle's are just in sphere deck thinning. They work because they're in sphere and doesn't necessarily gum up the opening hand as opposed to using Daeron's Runes. It works even better played off the top during any phase but planning.
