Beregond is a placeholder for the new Spirit Beregond.
This deck is a test to see if it's possible to drop your threat essentially to zero and keep it there forever. The Watcher in the Water is notorious for having enemies with laughably low threats, so I wanted to see if it was possible to sneak past them. It definitely is. You should be able to drop below the 12 threat level that can let enemies engage you, and you should be able to drop enough willpower to ignore anything in the staging area.
Basically, you want to use Galadriel and Beregond every turn to keep your threat moving slowly down. You'll have to have 1 enemy engaged to use beregond, but there are plenty of safe choices in this quest. Play Handmaidens and threat reduction events as soon as you draw them. The goal is to get threat below 18 before any striking tentacles come out, and to get below 12 before too many thrashing tentacles engage. The enemies in this quest don't punish you for leaving them in the staging area, so you can pretty much ignore them.
