This is a location control deck. It uses the heroes' built-in readying to make up for the lost hero. Don't bother lowering your threat too much unless you have the time; vanish from sight is there to help simulate secrecy. Get lots of resources with resourceful, ziggy/stargazer, and turn them into cards with steed of Imladris/elf-light/ancient mathom.
Defender of the West stands in for Strider, which goes on Lanwyn so she can get +4 threat from double surge. Try to convince your friends to put a Dagger of Westernesse on Lanwyn so her Ranged is better. Then explore all the locations!
