This deck does a great job at clearing locations. Things may become difficult if high threat enemies are drawn from the encounter deck early on before any of the Tactics allies are in play.
The biggest problem with this deck is card draw. Play Ancient Mathom as frequently as possible. If you're just not getting the cards you need, Dwarven Tomb can get you another use of Ancient Mathom, but you're best off saving that card for A Test of Will, Hasty Stroke or even The Galadhrim's Greeting if you're having threat issues.
Thalin makes quick work of the Eastern Crows. Try and save Gandalf for inflicting damage upon the high hit point enemies and finish them off with either tactics allies or Thalin after he has Unexpected Courage.
Keep your threat below 35 to avoid some of the awful Treachery cards that affect players with threat of 35 or higher. There are plenty of awful Treachery cards that will require A Test of Will that aren't threat level dependent.
Second version of this deck removes the Quick Strike event to make room for more questing allies. Unique allies (aside from Gandalf) are now only single copies in the deck. If we draw them great, if not, no big deal. Some copies of non questing allies reduced to also make room for more questing allies. Song of Wisdom and Lorien's Wealth added to the deck to assist with card draw. This deck frequently runs through all the resource tokens with very few usable cards in hand.
