Designed for Mirkwood Cycle: Conflict at the Carrock. 2 player, designed to complement a purple/green deck focused on drawing, resources, and healing. Quest slowly, go a few rounds before getting to the second quest card.
Use a lot of resources to get expensive allies out first, such as Beorn, Landroval, Eagles of the Misty Mountains, or Radogast. Once you've got a couple of them out, put out some cheaper allies to defend against the trolls, and start saving resources to play event cards against the trolls. As much as possible, save event cards for fighting the unique trolls, especially Thicket of Spears and Feint to spread out troll attacks. If you have Eagles of the Misty Mountains out, place Eagles exiting play--especially Vassals of the Windlord and Winged Guardians--as attachments to the EotMM instead of using Meneldor's Flight.
