So, after some conversation with a few folks (but primarily Stokesbook), it seems as if many of us are struggling in some way or another with Rossiel. I think this may have to do with the limitations, deck-building-wise, one perceives when using her as a hero. There's this 15-card or so suite that must be included to get the primary benefits for her, and so the rest of the deck is sub-optimal, or requires the mono-lore build that shackles some sense of creativity. I know I personally have yet to build a deck with her that competes in solo play, and I imagine she was always designed as a multi-player hero anyway.
When I played my generic Rossiel-Pippin-Mirlonde deck I struggled to get enough resources to power Rossiel up as well and as quickly as I could, nor could I afford much in the way of an ally presence as I focused on buffing her stats.
This deck chooses to see Rossiel as a solid defender and nothing else, leaving the questing to others. That's 6 cards I didn't have to include that most Rossiel decks use (those that use VD shenanigans with locations), and so the resources saved there could go for threat reduction and boosting defense.
Still, this deck requires a buddy to attack the biggies, and its allies are more dedicated to minor effects than earth-shaking stats.
Anyway, Grima makes it fun to play and mitigates the shortage of resources I always experienced in the early turns with Rossiel.
Look forward to thoughts.
