Once upon a time, my fellow compatriots and I at the Grey Company podcast spent almost an entire episode deriding the Outlands deck type and its place in the game. However, I am now here to eat some crow. While I do still feel that Outlands was overpowered and a bit bland in its early life, I feel like the game has advanced enough now that Outlands can't just roll over every quest. More importantly, the Tactics version of Prince Imrahil has arrived, the hero that Outlands needed, even if it didn't deserve it. He adds some interest and creativity to the deck type that was sorely lacking before, so I'm pleased to say that I've had a lot of fun with this deck so far!
This deck can work well in both multiplayer and solo. If you are playing it solo, then I suggest adding in Steward of Gondor to really ramp up the resource generation. Enjoy!
I couldn't agree more! It's exciting to see this style of deck get some love. I've been trying Outlands with Imrahil , Hirluin and a series of third Hero and it's been a great time. Try Tactics Aragorn and Spirit Eowyn for some salt and pepper!
