Looks like a well thought deck for me - except the one song and Deorwine. Are they worth it? Especially Deorwine; it could take ages until you get your song to play him. You could argue, that the song of battle will also boost the attack strength of the hero, but in that case I'd add another one (one for Elfhelm and one for Theoden).

You are right.

I have only played the deck twice. The hope was that the song on Theoden would make him better attacker via Elfhelm and Horse. A poor idea in retrospect. The deck relies a lot on chumps before it can make Elfhelm into a decent defender too. There is a version two now meant for a 2 player game with some defender support.

I have played through a few quests paired with my friend's deck ringsdb.com

It performed adequately, but is by no means high powered. I was a bit disappointed by Elfhelm. Sometimes you are lucky and he provides 2 extra quest power on t1.
