Gandalf's ability to see the top card of the deck really helps with Erestor's deck cycling - so you know whether you want to draw the next card or save it for next turn.
Getting a couple silver harps put is key to getting this deck to really hum along. Once you have that and Gandalf is stacked with a pipe you are going to do very well. The cheap allies along with Arwen Undómiel's extra resource each turn should help you get to that point.
