An attempt to take advantage of Strider.
Treebeard is the hero of this deck, with basically all of it devoted towards making him shine. That, of course, means a ton of healing for him to trigger his ability as much as possible. Past that, much of the deck is devoted towards card draw to accelerate finding the right pieces if you don't get them in your initial hand(which Galdor makes highly unlikely).
However, much of the deck is just fluff, cards to trigger Protector. With a combo of Strider, his own ability, and Protector of Lorien, Treebeard can quest for an obscene amount solo, easily getting up to 10+ quest a turn while still remaining totally healthy.
Allies are usually not meant to stick around as such, though a couple healers help even Treebeard out or assist with other possible issues in multiplayer games. Ultimately though, the goal of this deck is just for Treebeard to stride his way to victory.
Galdor makes finding Strider and the other pieces to start the deck up very easy, and his secondary ability allows very judicious use of Protector of Lorien without being able to trigger it later. Indeed, between that and the card draw, this deck can move through quite a bit of it's deck in short order.
