Sep 01, 2016Ah, it's a while since I played this one, but if I remember rightly it throws a lot of enemies at you, and some of them have low threat so it's difficult to keep them in the staging area. This deck is designed to engage and get rid of the enemies as quickly as possible, and keep the hidden deck down to nothing whenever possible. Use the ranged characters and Legolas to engage in the staging area, using Hands Upon the Bow and other event cards to get rid of them without them engaging you whenever possible, Using Legolas also contributes towards the quest. Because you need to engage enemies to get rid of them quickly, Mablung is good because you get resources for doing that (so you can afford the event cards). Don't bother questing with Beregond, load him up with attachments for free and defend everything with him - use Behind Strong Walls to defend twice and other cards to boost his defence or negate an attack if needed. When you get Defender of Rammas use that as a defender too. So in short - load Beregond for free, defend with him and Defender of Rammas, using event cards to help. Give Legolas ranged attachments (Black Arrow and bows) and use the event cards to take enemies out in the staging area. Then engage enemies and reveal the hidden cards whenever you can. Save Thicket of Spears and The Wizards Voice for when you get overloaded. Hope that helps! |
Sep 01, 2016Thanks. Just finished. Pretty smooth sailing once I go going. |
Thanks for posting. For those of us still learning the game, what's the strategy on this one?
