The BGamerJoe 5205
This is a "Good Stuff" deck I used to go through the Angmar Awakened cycle as a solo campaign. An entire cycle of 9 quests is difficult to play with one deck, especially for a "deck builder" personality that likes to customize for each quest. This set of heroes provides a lot of utility you can rely on right out of the gate which made the deck pretty reliable. Not much of a great theme here, but it gave me some good games through the campaign and I felt very virtuous using the expensive Lore Glorfindel.

Dec 02, 2023Yeah Lore Glorfindel is much maligned but this was my most pleasant experience with him. All the quests with the Weather encounter set can really REALLY mess you up in a hurry if you don’t have healing. The combo of 5HP to dump direct damage on, and the ability to heal continuously (1 a turn) through a game was pretty useful. Nice to be able to rely on it if necessary. |
Dec 03, 2023As we gain more experience and cards, we forget Lore Glorfindel. Congratulations for finding a place in a good deck. ;-) |
Looks like a quality deck. Not sure I could commit to having Lore Glorfindel on the table for 9 games straight though. I wonder how the deck would go with Glorfindel and Galdor swapped for their respective hero / ally versions. What difference would it make do you think? Also, love seeing Erkenbrand in the lineup. I need to get Hauberk of Mail for him I think. Perfect card for him.
