Gameplan:
As Rohirrim, we like to fight on OUR terms. So that is exactly what this deck sets out to do. Sizable amounts of allies, paired with control and threatreduction and the ability to attack into the staging area before enemies even engage us make this deck a force to be reckoned with.
Heroes:
Heroes are quite self explanatory. Dúnhere and Fastred have an immaculate combo together where you bounce enemies into the staging area with Fastred so Dúnhere can pick them off. Éowyn is here to round out the Rohan-Trifecta and enable us to use in our deck (for cards like Spear of the Mark and Wait no Longer). Other than that she also provides us with some much needed , to give us a clear agenda for each hero. One quester, one defender and one striker.
Allies:
This Deck runs decent amount of allies, that can all help out with occasional enemies that Fastred can not block. Allies like Westfold Horse-breaker and Westfold Horse-breeder serve as mount-tutors and additional untaps (for more defenses with Fastred or more attacks with Dúnhere), while Riddermark Knight provides additional striking power (keep in mind, that you dont HAVE to use his reaction, so he can indeed stay around and attack for 2 over and over again until you decide that you need his extra power). Westfold Outrider provides us with extra utility when it comes to manipulating the staging area/our Partners engaged enemies.
Attachments:
All the basic attachments are here: Unexpected Courage (because additional exhausts are kinda good), The Favor of the Lady (a single copy just for Éowyn), Ancient Mathom and Horn of the Mark for some carddraw. 2 copies of Spear of the Mark to give Dúnheresome extra power and a Steed of the Mark and a Rohan Warhorse as an additional way to ready him.
Events:
We have a small suite of control-oriented Events which should help US decide, when and where we fight. A Light in the Dark to help us manipulate the enemies location, Feint to disable an enemy for cheap, Wait no Longer to control, what enters the game. As further insurance we have 3 Dwarven Tomb and Stand and Fight each for recursion. These work extra well with all the "enter-play" and "self-discard" effects our allies have. Rounding out the deck are 3 copies of The Galadhrim's Greeting to keep our threat low, which, combined with Fastred should make us fly under the radar of most enemies.
